Whitekirk Parish Church
East Lothian, Scotland, 2007

The lighting concept for this restored 15th-century church was to create a hierarchy of lit elements. Discreet and sensitively mounted track fittings provide uplighting to the arched ceilings and general lighting to seating areas, as well as accenting to the Cross, Communion table, organ and font. Tungsten-halogen lamps create a warmly lit space, while an integrated dimmable control system allows the congregation to set the lighting to suit different functions.
