Lawson Park
Lake District, England, 2011
Photography by Sutherland Hussey
This refurbished farmhouse in the Lake District National Park provides a new administrative and residential base for Grizedale Arts, including hostel accommodation for resident artists and a small studio and library. KSLD worked with Sutherland Hussey architects to design a fully integrated and discrete lighting scheme. The architecture maximises the use of natural light, with much of the artificial lighting concealed from view in coves and architectural details.
