The John Carne Hair Salon is a high quality hair styling and colouring boutique set in an Edwardian shop building in Wimbledon Village. This is the first of a series of new salons for this award-winning hairdresser. The boutique has high quality design standards to reflect the salon's high quality/fashion ethos. The lighting design was required to be fully integrated within the architect's furniture and finishes. Each area of the salon has a different function and the lighting design responds to the function and choice of materials in each area. Complex yet user-friendly lighting controls are required to achieve the variations in general and localised lighting scenes.
