After a quiet summer things are looking busy. It seems I am going to be doing a lot of writing in the next few months.

At last LG8, Museum and Gallery Lighting, is in final draft and is due to be launched at the Museum’s Association “New Approaches to Lighting” Conference a the British Museum on the 9th of December. In the meantime I have been asked to write an article for Museums and Heritage Magazine that will be out around the same time. Before that I will be speaking in London at Lovelight on 7 October apparently I have to write about Love Technology! I intend to push this one and have some fun or technological problems! I will be spending Halloween in Dubai at Light Middle East talking on Lighting Sustainability then possibly in Mumbai on the 14th of November again on Lighting Sustainability. The last event I have in the calendar for this year is at Building Green in Athens around 10th December. Finally there is a possibility that I will do a PLDA seminar in London discussing the PLDA statement on sustainability!  That is quite a programme and i will doubtless be traveling to Brussels for more meetings on the Energy Using Products proposed legislation on reflector lamps, Zurich for a PLDA council meeting, Kuwait and Oman for projects, so by Christmas I will have racked up a good collection of air miles for a holiday in New Zealand sometime next year” smile Not that I suggest that airline travel is a good way to spend the earth’s resources :( Hopefully a lot of this travel will be replaced by video conferencing before too long. Skype has definitely made this more accessible but being their in video rather than the flesh still has not achieved universal acceptability.
